| Position: Independent Sales Representative
Description: The Candleberry Company, a reputable home fragrance provider, is actively seeking experienced individuals to join our team as independent sales representatives. Ideal candidates should possess a proven track record as 1099 sales representatives, demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit necessary to establish new accounts for our exclusive home fragrance products. Committed to delivering superior products and outstanding customer service, we aim to collaborate with small business owners to showcase our offerings in their gift shops, boutiques, and other retail outlets, in accordance with company guidelines. We welcome professionals in the industry who are interested in incorporating a new product line into their existing portfolio.
Sales Representative Responsibilities Include:
Promoting and selling the company's product range within the designated geographic area, subject to potential adjustments by the company.
Adhering to performance targets set by the company; failure to meet these benchmarks may result in termination of the agreement. Monthly quotas may be established in consultation with the sales representative.
Selling company products at the prices specified in provided materials.
Management of customer accounts, including the option to request net 30 terms. Sales representatives assume responsibility for such accounts, with overdue payments exceeding 60 days being deducted from subsequent commissions.
Ownership of customer accounts initiated by the sales representative, entitling them to commissions for orders processed during their tenure, unless specified otherwise by the sales manager. Sales representatives are expected to cultivate and sustain relationships with their accounts, including regular follow-ups and direct communication regarding sales and promotions.
Accurate representation of company policies to prospective and existing customers. Timely submission of orders to the company and prompt reporting of any customer-related issues.
Availability during business hours (7:30 am - 3:30 pm EST) via telephone, email, CREW app, or other agreed-upon communication channels, unless otherwise approved by the sales manager.
Independent Contractor Status: The sales representative is classified as an independent contractor, not an employee of the company. Completion of a W-9 form is required, and a 1099 form will be provided to the sales representative at the end of the fiscal year. As an independent contractor, the sales representative operates autonomously, provides their own materials and equipment (excluding those listed in this agreement), and is responsible for their own tax and insurance obligations, including all requisite government filings. |
