It’s no secret that exploring the vast DMC campus can bring on somewhat of an appetite! Now, there's a restaurant open daily that buyers and guests can unwind and grab a delectable bite.

Fountain Café, a full-service restaurant located on the World Trade Center 1st floor atrium, which was previously open only during markets has expanded its hours to include non-market food service. It is now open for lunch Monday through Friday for al fresco-esque dining – and still available during markets, too!

After sampling 6 dishes we can assure you that the menu will satisfy all types of diners. Now, let's share these deeelish dishes we were fortunate enough to sample!

 
 
This Smoked Chicken Tamale Fundido is filled to the brim with smoked chicken, sweet corn and jack cheese baked in a charred jalapeno crema sauce and served with salsa verde and tri-colored tortilla chips. It was a taste of Texas with a twist, and we couldn’t help nibbling on it throughout the rest of the meal.

 
 
This Cherry Tomato and Artichoke Bruschetta starter is already a favorite. The sourdough crostini is topped with organic greens (artichokes included – YUM!), tomato and a touch of pesto. Not only can guests enjoy a meal here at the Café, but it would also be a perfect place to sit and rejuvenate with a glass of wine and a starter.

 
 
This Chicken Salad Crepe is perfect for a VERY fresh and guilt-free lunch. Shredded chicken breast, tomatoes, asparagus and boursin cheese were all wrapped tightly together in this yummy crepe.

 
 
Another tasty combination is the Smoked Turkey Cobb Salad. It was a hearty and flavorful salad filled with smoked bacon (made in-house, mind you), smoked cheddar cheese, black beans, charred corn, tomatoes and mixed greens served with a Tapatio ranch dressing.

 
 
Now here comes the meat of the meal. The hand-formed brisket burger is topped with chipotle barbeque sauce and onion rings and fries on the side. One of the impressive aspects of Fountain Café is the versatility of the menu and the option of having this burger, salad and crepe all on the same table.

 
 
For our sweet treat, the Six Layer Carrot Cake was recommended. We had to try this Levy Restaurants tradition, especially after hearing about the decadent layers of fresh carrots, nuts and spices with a sweet cream cheese icing topped with toasted coconut.
