The truth is: today's consumer demands valuable content and this has made us all into content creators: brands, boutique owners, buyers, retailers, etc. They want to hear more than just "buy from us" or “here is a sale”. The 3 C's of Content are pillars that every person (or store) selling physical products should be doing to create content that engages and connects with their customer - and gets them to want to buy. When it comes to content, this is what you should be putting in front of your customer, like three legs on a stool, you need all of them.
A recent study from researchers at the University of Sweden concluded, ““For retailers, a visually dominant store atmosphere should be designed more in the direction of a multi-sensory atmosphere in offering shoppers more appealing experiences of the retail setting.”
Their research found that retailers can gain “a positive effect of multi-sensory congruent cues on shoppers’ emotions, through valence and purchase behavior, through time spent in the store and purchase.”
In plain English, shoppers engaged through all five senses in the store spend more time there and are more likely to make purchases.
In this session, Pam will present multi-sensory retail strategies to powerfully engage their customers by activating all five senses.
