Buyer Qualifications

The hottest products are found in Red, but keep in mind that Dallas Market Center is a wholesale market and NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.  To gain admittance, you must resell merchandise similar to what is represented in one of the DMC's showrooms.  We know things change and want to remind you that additional buyers can be registered, just submit a copy of a cancelled payroll check or stub, or personal corporate credit card.

All businesses have 90 calendar days to qualify, and you may be subject to a $150 application fee depending on the type of business you have. We reserve the right to request additional business identification, if deemed necessary. Read on to get all the details.

Commercial Business (Owns A Store Front)

You must provide all of these items with your application:

  • Copy of state Sales & Use Tax Permit with appropriate SIC or NAICS codes.
  • Voided business check or copy of corporate credit card.
  • Copy of active lease or deed showing use of premises and signature page (if presented, application fee will be waived).
  • Personalized imprinted business card (valid for owners only).
  • To add buyers/full-time employees, provide a copy of a payroll check or stub, or personal corporate credit card.
  • Photo ID for owners and buyers.

Kiosk/Booth Retail (Re-qualify Every Year)

You must provide all of these items with your application:

  • Copy of state Sales & Use Permit with appropriate SIC or NAICS codes.
  • Voided business check or copy of corporate credit card.
  • Copy of active lease showing use of premises and signature page (if presented, application fee will be waived).
  • Personalized imprinted business card (valid for owners only).
  • To add buyers/full-time employees, provide a copy of a payroll check or stub, or personal corporate credit card. Limited to 4 buyers.
  • Photo ID for owners and buyers.

Business-in-the-Home (Re-qualify Every Two Years)

Submit all of the following for fee to be waived:

  • Copy of state Sales & Use Tax Permit with appropriate SIC or NAICS codes.
  • Voided business check or copy of corporate credit card.
  • Invoices of $10,000 in wholesale transactions within the last 12 months, or a signed quarterly state sales tax return w/ payment check or e-file receipt.  The filing must show sales and taxes paid.  If no taxes are paid, then you must provide the wholesale invoices.
  • Personalized imprinted business card (valid for owners only).
  • To add buyers/full-time employees, provide a copy of a payroll check or stub, or personal corporate credit card. Limited to 4 buyers.
  • Photo ID for owners and buyers.

Interior Designer/Architect/Builder

All of the Below:

  • Appropriate Current State Certification.
  • Is allowed 4 client's at no charge.
  • Photo ID.

Independent Designer

Submit copies of all the following documents:

  • Current membership in a professional state or nationally-recognized accredited organization.
  • Photo ID. (Is allowed four clients at no charge.)

Hospital or Inspirational Gift Shop

Provide all the following documents:

  • Copy of state Sales & Use Permit with appropriate SIC or NAICS codes or Tax Exemption Permit.
  • To add buyers/full-time employees, provide a copy of a payroll check or stub or a copy of a volunteer badge.

International Business

All of the Below:

  • Personalized imprinted Business Card.
  • Photo ID.

Non-Exhibiting Manufacturers

  • Manufacturers whose product is not represented here will be charged a non-refundable show service fee of $100, or make appointment in advance with appropriate leasing director.
  • Picture indentification and business card required.

Application Form

Downloading and completing a Business Application form is the first step to becoming a qualified buyer. (Business-in-the-Home applicants are subject to a $150 refundable application processing fee.) To have an application mailed to you, call (214) 744-7444. Mail-in applications must be accompanied by all these documents at the same time. Partial applications will not be processed. Mail the application along with the requested requirements to:

If you are unable to mail in all of these documents, please bring them to the registration desk during market for processing.

Once your application has been approved, you are a DMC Registered Buyer. This means anytime you wish to come into Dallas Market Center, all you need to do is present your personal picture identification at the registration desk. It's easy, and there's no charge for buyer registration!
