– Dallas Market Center and ART hosted awards ceremony during gala event –

DALLAS – January 24, 2011 – Dallas Market Center, the world’s most complete wholesale marketplace, and the Accessories Resource Team (ART), the trade association representing the decorative accessory industry, announced the winners of the 22nd annual ARTS Awards during a gala event held the evening of Saturday, January 22 in The Grand Pavilion at the Trade Mart. Guests attended the ceremony that recognized ARTS Awards recipients in 28 different categories. HGTV was honored with the Academy of Achievement Award for their significant impact on the home and garden décor industry. Sabrina Soto, HGTV designer, and Freddy James, senior vice president of program development and production, accepted the award on behalf of the media and marketing company. The approximately 600 attendees included a wide range of retailers, manufacturers, sales representatives, media and designers from across the U.S. and Canada.

The ARTS Awards, presented each January during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market, is the premier awards program for the decorative accessory industry and recognizes excellence from retailers, manufacturers, sales representatives and designers.

With a nod to spring, tables and bars in The Grand Pavilion were adorned with flower arrangements of fuchsia roses, golden chrysanthemums, and yellow orchids with black Manzanita branches. Graphic lighting splashed images of cherry blossoms throughout the room creating a sophisticated, moody atmosphere. The cocktail lounge struck a stark contrast to the spring colors inside the dining area with black plexiglass bars, black patent leather seating areas, and accents of poppy.
