Dallas Market Center Sets 2013 Apparel Market Dates

– August date pattern shifts to accommodate tight show calendar –

DALLAS – Oct. 17, 2012 – Dallas Market Center (DMC) today announced its 2013 market calendar, which includes an adjustment to the August Apparel & Accessories Market timing. The complete list of dates is now available at www.dallasmarketcenter.com/markets.

In August, the Dallas Apparel & Accessories Market will shift to a Wednesday opening and will run through Saturday at 6 p.m. Permanent and temporary exhibitors will be open all four days. The other four women’s market weeks will continue to run Thursday–Sunday. The August date pattern will include the Dallas Western Market. Also, the August Dallas Prom Market will be held in conjunction with the other Markets with a Thursday–Saturday date pattern.

“The August show calendar will never be the same with Las Vegas shifting up a week,” said Robbin Wells, executive vice president of leasing, Dallas Market Center. “The tight August calendar compounded by our Texas Sales Tax Holiday Weekend leaves us no choice. We must begin market earlier in the week so Texas retailers get back to their stores and lets vendors participate in trade shows important to their businesses.”
