DALLAS –January 29, 2016 – Lightovation, the Dallas International Lighting Show, experienced a successful debut market including an increase in attendance by US buyers and a 35% increase in buyers attending the show for the first time.

The Market’s increasing connection to innovation and forward-thought leadership contributed to the successful launch of Lightovation. Randall Whitehead’s popular seminar, Delicious Illumination, Taste the Future of Home Lighting Design had over 200 in attendance.
With over 630 downloads, the Lightovation app enabled users to post and interact with one another in real-time. A buyer app contest held during market resulted in over 50,000 interactions. The winner, Jack Fleischer, president of Hermitage Electric Supply Corp, had over 695 posts and engagements on the app’s activity feed.
Several showrooms expanded for the lighting show to provide new space for the latest lighting styles and technology including Arteriors, WAC, and Capital Lighting. The Market also welcomed new showrooms Kuzco, and AFX.
