Milano Hat Company to Open Showroom
at Dallas Market Center
DALLAS – March 8, 2019 – Dallas Market Center, the leading western lifestyle marketplace and home to WESA’s International Western/English Apparel & Equipment Markets beginning in 2021, announces that Milano Hat Company will open a showroom inside its growing western marketplace. Milano Hat Company’s parent company Dorfman Pacific will remain on the 13th floor of the World Trade Center while Milano will open a new showroom on the 14th floor.
Milano Hat Company, a legendary name, joins dozens of leading companies recently committed to new showrooms at Dallas Market Center. This showroom addition further solidifies Dallas Market Center’s position as the dominant western marketplace for the widest array of products including an unrivaled collection of major brands in hats and headwear, boots and footwear, western apparel and accessories, and tack and equipment.
Said Scott Starnes: “We have had a showroom at the Dallas Market Center for decades so we understand the value of their partnership and this new opportunity. Dallas is a convenient and customer-dedicated facility, and the addition of WESA shows inside such a well-managed marketplace is a chance to reach more customers.”
“Our long-standing and supportive partnership with Milano dates back to the early days of their company, and so we are pleased that their investment in the Dallas marketplace continues to grow,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “We anticipate working with them for decades to come in order to serve retailers with Milano products that represent excellence inside a marketplace with unmatched selection across all categories.”
Dallas Market Center features hundreds of western lifestyle brands serving retail buyers from across the U.S. and internationally. In fact, no other marketplace in the world attracts more buyers seeking western and western-inspired products, including retailers broadening their merchandise mix.
Milano Hat Company, a subsidiary of Dorfman Pacific, has more than seventy years of hat making tradition. Today, the company oversees the design and production of felt and straw western hats as well as caps under the names Justin, Tony Lama and Larry Mahan as well as Biltmore. Milano delivers best-selling and new products to its customers that are superior in styling, manufacturing, customer service, and quality control.
WESA and Dallas Market Center are collaborating on International Western/English Apparel & Equipment Markets beginning in 2021 in order to create a dynamic marketplace. Working together, the teams will offer unmatched customer service for manufacturers, sales representatives, and thousands of retail decision-makers including major stores, independent western retailers, apparel stores, gift shops, e-commerce and additional buyers seeking new products. A change of venue for the WESA shows will inspire more buyers to explore new resources across the product spectrum and will create more opportunities for business growth. For exhibitors, the move creates better options for opening new accounts.
