at Dallas Market Center

—legendary footwear leader to showcase collections on 14th floor—

DALLAS – May 15, 2019 – Dallas Market Center, the leading western lifestyle marketplace and home to WESA’s International Western/English Apparel & Equipment Markets beginning in 2021, announces that Minnetonka will relocate its showroom and open in new space inside the growing western marketplace on the 14th floor of the World Trade Center.

Minnetonka is a family-owned footwear company that has been catering to the independent boutique, gift and western retailer for over 65 years. Minnetonka manufactures its own moccasins, boots and slippers for all genders. All moccasins, boots and slippers are in stock and open stock. In addition, Minnetonka markets women’s and men’s sandals that have a classic Southwestern flair.

The company joins dozens of leading companies recently committed to new showrooms at Dallas Market Center. This addition further solidifies Dallas Market Center’s position as the dominant western marketplace for the widest array of products including major brands in boots and footwear, western apparel and accessories, and tack and equipment.

Said Michael Maher, sales representative for Minnetonka: “The unique opportunity for our company is to expand our customer base by reaching a broader set of buyers in Dallas. We are thrilled that the WESA Shows will be in Dallas, together with the year-round traffic during others markets and events. We are strong advocates for the Dallas marketplace and its advantages for buyers who are seeking quality products in an efficient location.”

“This iconic brand is an important partner for our marketplace and a key resource for retailers,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “Minnetonka’s new location will allow them to reach a wide range of retail buyers looking for high-quality, classic footwear.”

Dallas Market Center features hundreds of western lifestyle brands serving retail buyers from across the U.S. and internationally. In fact, no other marketplace in the world attracts more buyers seeking western and western-inspired products, including retailers broadening their merchandising mix.

WESA’s decision to move the International Western/English Apparel & Equipment Markets to Dallas beginning in 2021 was based upon a number of factors including Dallas’ superior facilities including thousands of free parking spaces, hotel shuttle buses, efficient dock services, well-maintained vertical transportation, boosted cell phone coverage, enhanced WiFi, and on-site restaurants and catering. Throughout Dallas Market Center’s six decades of service to buyers and sellers the company has worked hard to ensure that customers receive the support services they need to make their business experience in Dallas successful.
