DALLAS – January 8, 2019 – Dallas Market Center, the leading western lifestyle marketplace and home to WESA’s International Western/English Apparel & Equipment Markets beginning in 2021, announces that Montana Silversmiths will open a showroom inside its western marketplace.
Montana Silversmiths, a designer of handcrafted jewelry and buckles, joins a growing number of enterprises investing in a Dallas marketplace featuring hundreds of western lifestyle brands serving retail buyers from across the U.S. and internationally. No other marketplace in the world attracts more buyers seeking western and western-inspired products, including retailers broadening their merchandise mix and seeking the diversity of products found only in Dallas.
“We are thrilled that Montana Silversmiths is a new partner with permanent showroom space. Their quality products are critically important for our complete marketplace serving the western industry,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “Their beautiful designs deepen our commitment to fashion accessories, and they join an unmatched collection of apparel companies, leading boot and footwear companies as well as the major tack brands embracing the move to Dallas with multi-year permanent leases.”
Said Jade Opfer, VP of Retail Sales for Montana Silversmiths: “We have participated in temporary space in Dallas but are investing in a permanent showroom to give us the freedom and flexibility to show our entire line across the diverse and expanded audience of retailers Dallas will offer. We look forward to this new venue for our industry.”
For nearly 50 years, Montana Silversmiths’ master engravers have created exceptional handcrafted jewelry and buckles that reflect the richness of the American West. The handcrafted detail of each piece of metal is a testament to the quality of Montana Silversmiths jewelry and buckles.
Recently announced new showrooms in Dallas include Corral, Equibrand Products Group, Lucchese, HatCo, Sidran, Clint Orms, Wrangler, Scully, Ferrini, Hooey, M&F Western Products, Cactus Ropes/Cactus Gear, Trenditions, Vogt Silversmiths, Anderson Bean, Southern Grace, Outback Trading Company, Grace in LA, and Westmoor Manufacturing including Panhandle/Rock and Roll Denim/Rock and Roll Cowgirl.
WESA’s decision to move the International Western/English Apparel & Equipment Markets to Dallas beginning in 2021 was based upon a number of factors including Dallas Market Center’s position as the largest marketplace in the world for western lifestyle products, including apparel and accessories, gifts and home décor. In addition to these core categories, Dallas Market Center is adding new product resources including tack, farm and ranch products and equipment, workwear and safety wear, camping and outdoor categories in order to create a comprehensive product destination.
Already a well-kept facility, the Dallas marketplace will undergo significant updates prior to the launch of WESA’s events in order to best serve its customers. A special focus will be the adjacency of permanent showrooms on the 14th floor and temporary exhibitors on the 11th floor of the World Trade Center, which are connected by two well-maintained escalators and four passenger elevators.
WESA and its nearly 100 years of service will be supported in Dallas by a team of experienced marketing and support service associates dedicated to assisting the WESA leadership for these important global events. Working together, the WESA team and the Dallas Market Center team will offer unmatched customer service for manufacturers, sales representatives, and thousands of retail decision-makers including major stores, independent western retailers, apparel stores, gift shops, e-commerce and additional buyers seeking new products. A change of venue for the WESA shows will inspire more buyers to explore new resources across the product spectrum and will create more opportunities for business growth. For exhibitors, the move creates better options for opening new accounts.
Throughout Dallas Market Center’s six decades of service to buyers and sellers the company has worked hard to ensure the availability of nearby accommodations, restaurants, and support services that are plentiful, convenient, and affordable. To that end, according to Business Travel News Dallas offers lower total business travel costs than most U.S. tradeshow destinations including Denver, Atlanta, and Las Vegas. Centrally located within a short travel time from any location in the U.S. and Latin America, Dallas Market Center is also situated in the strongest economic zone in the U.S. and serves five of the 10 fastest-growing U.S. cities in its immediate region.
