Trio of Global Lighting Companies Among New Leases at Dallas Market Center

—International Exhibitors to Make Their Showroom Debut in Dallas—

DALLAS – October 3, 2019 – Underscoring the global leadership and lighting marketplace strength of Dallas Market Center, three international companies are making the marketplace their trade headquarters in the U.S. Artika, based in Quebec, is moving into Trade Mart 3309 to showcase its lighting solutions. Brazilian company Accord Lighting will show its contemporary wood lamps and lighting in Trade Mart 3533. And leading Australian lighting and ceiling fan company Beacon Lighting will be exhibiting in Trade Mart 4933.

Beacon Lighting general manager Jack Panjer says a soft launch in Dallas let them know that Dallas Market Center was the marketplace for Beacon. “After our success this summer showing our ceiling fans in a temporary space, we knew we wanted to sign a lease for our own showroom so we can showcase a full line of lighting and fans in January. We were excited by the traffic and the response we received, and we’re looking forward to being a permanent part of this incredible hub for the lighting business in the U.S. market.”

Adds Artika’s Peter Korsos, commercial account manager: “To compete in the North American marketplace, you have to be at the Dallas Market Center – it’s where the lighting category comes to do business. We’re looking forward to exhibiting both Artika and ArtikaPro products during the trade shows and events in Dallas, as well as enjoying the daily design business that sets this marketplace apart.”

The three companies join Georgia-based Acuity Brands, one of the world’s leading providers of lighting throughout North America and select international markets, as new Lightovation exhibitors for January 2020 formally announced to date. These launches build upon the dozens of leading lighting brands who have announced a deepened commitment to Dallas Market Center via long-term renewals or expansions. Recent announcements have included ELK Lighting, Sonneman – A Way of Light, Eurofase, Legrand, and The Minka Group. The total space under new agreements for Lightovation is more than 160,000 square feet and represents the largest collection of new lighting leases since 2007.

“This has been a banner year inside our lighting marketplace,” says Cindy Morris, President and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “We’ve experienced unprecedented growth with more than 40 companies deepening their commitment to Dallas. We’re also excited to have the support of these well-respected international companies who’ve selected Dallas Market Center as their principal business center for the North American market.”
