It’s already the second week in June – can you believe it? In just a few short days, you’ll be packing your shipments for Dallas. Here are a few tips that will help you save time and avoid increased expenses:

1. Make sure your shipments arrive during the Free Drayage window. Your confirmation letter will let you know, by category, when your shipments should arrive.
2. When shipping your product, make sure you include your category, company name and booth number. Make several labels so it is visible from multiple directions. Also, your labels should be taped securely to your shipment.
3. Always include the box numbers. For example 1 of 5, 2 of 5, etc. This helps the people taking your freight to your booth know how many boxes, crates, etc. should be delivered .
4. Keep an inventory of what you have put in each box. If something should happen to your shipment in transit you’ll know immediately what you will need to have re-shipped.
5. Pack a “Market Survival Kit.” In it, include the basics:
         o Stapler and staples
         o Scissors
         o Packing Tape and tape gun
         o Pens, markers, etc.
         o Business cards
         o Sales brochures
         o Extra long cable to charge your phone or computer
         o Any other necessities you may need
