About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Office Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our showroom and back-office. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, is organized, and is comfortable managing physical inventory and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Swatch Management & Dispatch:
Assemble and dispatch bedding swatches (Coverlets, Quilts, Duvets/Sheets/Bedthrows/Blankets) Maintain and update swatch inventory, especially during new collection launches (January & July) Use steel wires to assemble swatches with fabric on both front and back Track SKUs and manage storage using assigned bins and cartons Ship swatches via FedEx, USPS, or postal services Handle FedEx dispatch at the World Trade Center location and declare accurate values (e.g., $400 for 3 folders) B. Returns Handling:
Receive and document product returns from clients, reps, and trade shows C. Inventory Oversight:
Monitor stock levels, organize storage, and coordinate restocking as needed D. Mailbox Management:
Collect checks, letters, and documents from the office mailbox Forward them to the relevant departments or individuals E. Office & Showroom Maintenance:
Ensure cleanliness and basic housekeeping of the office and showroom F. Customer Service Coordination:
Communicate with the customer service team for follow-ups and task coordination G. Logistics:
Handle timely dispatch of swatches and documents through postal services or FedEx H. Warehouse Visits:
Occasionally visit the warehouse for pickups, drop-offs, or coordination I. Miscellaneous:
Perform other ad hoc office tasks as needed
Education: High School diploma or equivalent Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Excellent communication and follow-up skills
Requirements:
Must have a personal vehicle for local travel (FedEx office, warehouse, etc.) Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work independently Comfortable with light physical tasks like assembling swatches and organizing inventory
