Overview

As our Textile Designer, you’ll play a hands-on role in developing and supporting our bedding, soft-home collections, and occasionally other home goods. You’ll focus on executing designs, preparing technical files, coordinating with vendors, and keeping projects moving smoothly. You’ll also support trend research to inform our product development roadmap and assist with merchandising in the showroom, ensuring our collections connect with customers at every touchpoint. This role is a great fit if you love designing and collaborating, and you’re excited to contribute to a fast-growing home-décor company.

Description

  • Create designs for bedding, pillows, throws, accessories, and occasionally other home goods, and adapt artwork from external designers, licensors, or vendors.
  • Support trend research: gather online inspiration, track competitor activity, and help compile seasonal trend and color presentations.
  • Build seasonal concept boards, color palettes, and fabric stories under guidance from senior designers.
  • Prepare and maintain clear, detailed tech packs, and keep sample / swatch libraries organized.
  • Communicate with overseas and domestic suppliers to track samples, strike-offs, and approvals.
  • Assist with line-merchandising:
    • Upload and update product hierarchy, imagery, and copy on our website.
    • Support the sales & showroom team in creating engaging vignettes for markets and customer visits.
  • Explore AI tools for concept visualization, color-way testing, and competitive scanning—bringing ideas back to the team.
  • Review creative assets (web, packaging, marketing) for accuracy and brand consistency, escalating issues when needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Surface Design, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in textile, surface, or pattern design (home textiles or home goods experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); familiarity with 3D/AI concepting tools a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of fabric constructions, print techniques, and production processes.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
  • A collaborative mindset—open to feedback and comfortable working cross-functionally.
  • A portfolio showcasing original designs, patterns, and examples of applied commercial work.
