Description

J.Brandes is seeking an experienced, independent outside sales representative to manage an established territory for a top-performing wholesale rep group. This role involves servicing existing retail accounts, writing orders through MarketTime, opening new business, and maintaining strong relationships with boutique and lifestyle retailers.

As a rep with our team, you will work with a curated portfolio of category-leading brands across gift, personal care, accessories, fragrance, home, and novelty. You’ll be expected to travel within your assigned region, attend seasonal Markets, and drive growth through proactive outreach, merchandising insight, and consistent follow-up.

This is a commission-based, 1099 role with high earning potential, best suited for candidates who already have a presence in the market and are looking to expand with a strategic showroom partner.

Qualifications

2+ years of outside sales rep experience in the gift, lifestyle, boutique, or general retail space

Proficient with MarketTime (or similar sales/order-writing platforms)

Existing retailer relationships and established territory are strongly preferred.

Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to travel within the assigned region and attend seasonal trade shows (e.g., Dallas Market)

Self-starter with a growth mindset and collaborative spirit
