ArchLIGHT Summit, the premier commercial and architectural lighting trade event in North America, announced that C. “Webster” Marsh has joined the organization as Director of Education and Programming. In this role, Marsh will curate and assemble the show’s CEU sessions, Showroom Tours, and University Sessions for students, further strengthening the event’s reputation for delivering high-value, industry-leading programming that is experiential and collaborative.
Marsh will collaborate closely with Lea Tranakos, Show Director; Laura Van Zeyl, Vice President of Marketing for Lighting; and the ArchLIGHT Summit Advisory Board to develop top-tier educational programming. Together, they will identify and recruit thought leaders and inspiring speakers, with special emphasis on CEUs directed at health, safety, and welfare.
“Webster brings an exceptional combination of technical expertise, industry credibility, and a true passion for education,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “His leadership will elevate our programming and build upon the momentum ArchLIGHT Summit has achieved as a destination for meaningful learning and connection.”
C. “Webster” Marsh is a Lighting Controls Designer for Sladen Feinstein Integrated Lighting, where he delivers high-quality controls designs and specifications. He is a Certified Lighting Controls Practitioner (CLCP), Education Manager for the Lighting Controls Academy, and an instructor for the Southern California Edison Energy Education Centers. Marsh is an active member of the Lighting Agora and IESNA, and he has spoken at leading industry events including ArchLIGHT Summit, Lightovation, DALI Summit, LightFair, IES Annual Conference, LEDucation, NYControlled, and Canada Light Expo. Outside of his professional practice, Marsh is the creator of Tonight in Controls and co-hosts the widely followed Lighting Controls Podcast. His deep experience makes him uniquely positioned to guide and grow ArchLIGHT Summit’s innovative programming.
The most recent edition of ArchLIGHT Summit achieved record attendance and a sold-out show floor, with both new and returning exhibitors contributing to a dynamic atmosphere of innovation and industry engagement. The event continues to expand its national reach, hosting professionals from across the U.S.
The next edition of ArchLIGHT Summit, September 15-16, 2026, is running alongside Dallas Design Week and the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) GATHER: Catalyst national conference to maximize cross-disciplinary engagement.
The Call for Speakers opened in November, inviting thought leaders across design, technology, and sustainability to share their expertise at the 2026 ArchLIGHT Summit. Speakers are encouraged to submit proposals that align with the show’s mission to be boldly different and actively inclusive. Next year’s conference tracks will include:
Business Strategies + Development — Topics such as AI-driven business models in lighting, trends influencing business development and product positioning, lighting sales channels, and supply chain mapping from factory to fixture.
Collaboration + Coordination — Exploring cross-disciplinary partnerships, collaboration between design and execution, and creating cohesive atmospheres through multi-source design.
Design Expertise + Application — Lighting as an artform, fixture placement, adaptive environments, and integrating AI and wellness in lighting design.
Sustainability + Responsibility — Addressing smart and sustainable controls, biodiversity and Dark Sky principles, AI for accountability, and responsible specification within evolving regulations.
Controls + Smart Lighting — Connected lighting integration, code compliance, privacy and security in smart systems, and emerging standards for control technologies.
Sessions that move beyond traditional presentations are highly preferred, favoring experiential learning and collaborative discussion formats. Proposals should showcase the latest advancements in the industry—from innovative technology and design practices to business strategies shaping the future of lighting.
